FDR Speech at Warm Springs

Franklin Delano Roosevelt speaks from a podium at Warm Springs during his 1932 campaign for the presidency. He first went to the Warm Springs area in 1924 in search of warm water treatments for his paralysis. His much publicized improvement here urged other polio victims to come to Warm Springs, and in 1927 he founded the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation for polio research.
