Anton Rubinstein (1829-1894)
Anton Rubinstein was a Russian-Jewish composer, and one of the greatest pianists of the 19th century. He composed the oratorio Der Turm zu Babel (The Tower of Babel) during 1868-69, and it was first performed in 1870.
