Abraham Lincoln's Second Inauguration
This is the scene as Abraham Lincoln gives his second inaugural address on March 4th, 1865 on the steps of the capitol. Lincoln is the man with the blotch over his face near the center of the page. John Wilkes Booth later said regretfully, "what an excellent chance I had to kill the President if I had wished, on inauguration day."
