Anson Herrick (1812-1868)
Anson Herrick was a Democratic congressman from New York (1863 to 1865). Herrick established the "New York Atlas" newspaper in 1836 and continued with it until his death. He was a member of the New York City board of aldermen from 1854 to 1856.
