Ada Wray
Ada Wray was a popular variety actress and musician. An entrepreneur, she managed Ada Wray's Female Minstrels, who performed frequently at Tony Pastor's New York theater. The actress belonged to the Theatre Comique company from 1871 to 1874. Daughter of actress Louisa Payne Wray, Ada Wray married actor John Wild. Holding a guitar, Wray poses in costume at what appears to be Sarony's studio in New York.
