Ada (Idella) de Soyer, Mrs. Hernandez
Mademoiselle Ada (or Idella) de Soyer, a gymnast and equestrienne, performed with circuses in the 1860s. In the 1870s she married a member of the Hernandez Family Troupe, also gymnasts. De Soyer poses with an air of indifference in a short skirt, striped socks, and a humorous hat at the Bishoff y Spencer studio in Valparaiso.
