Christine Terhune Herrick (1859-1944)
Christine Terhune Herrick was from a family of prolific writers. She was the daughter of the writers Edward Payson Terhune and Mary Hawes Terhune. The latter wrote more than ninety books using the pen name "Marion Harland." Herrick wrote thirty books on domestic topics ranging from childcare to cooking and budgeting. She also wrote magazine articles and co-authored books with her mother.
