Mildred Holland (1869-1944)
Mildred Holland was an actress and director. She began her career on the stage, performing in four Broadway productions between 1911 and 1927. Holland directed "The Triumph of an Empress" at the Garden Theatre in 1911 and "The Lily and the Prince," also at the Garden Theatre in 1911. In later years the director became a Hollywood personality. Here she strikes an unusual pose for an unidentified photographer, circa 1890.
