Aaron A. Sargent (1827-1887)
Aaron Augustus Sargent was a journalist, lawyer, diplomat and Republican politician from California. He represented California in the U.S. House of Representatives (1869-73) and in the U.S. Senate (1873-79). Sargent also served as the U.S. Minister to Germany during the years 1882 to 1884.
