Benjamin Richardson
Benjamin Richardson was an eccentric millionaire businessman of New York City who wanted to buy Abraham Lincoln's home and display it under a glass bubble. He obtained the gloves and handkerchief Lincoln carried on the night of his assassination and had them framed and hung in his dining room. Richardson was photographed with his unusually long beard and was accompanied by a young boy in an 18th century costume and a tricorner hat.
