Albert G. Lawrence (1834-1887)
Albert Gallatin Lawrence was a brevet brigadier general of volunteers in the Union Army. He was educated in Switzerland and at Harvard. Before the Civil War he was U.S. attache at Vienna. He was later U.S. minister to Costa Rica.
