Andrew Jackson in His Last Days
This daguerreotype portrait of an elderly Jackson in profile has been attributed to Edward Anthony. Andrew Jackson rose from his sick bed to be photographed shortly before his death in 1845. A pillow that is being used to prop him up can be seen behind his back. This is a photographic print of a daguerreotype.
