"Incidents in the Life of General Andrew Jackson -- Judge Jackson Compelling the Felon to Surrender"

Andrew Jackson was holding court in a small Tennessee village when Russell Bean was threatening people in the street. The sheriff and his posse were unsuccessful in subduing him. Jackson finally came out into the street with guns drawn and obtained Bean's surrender. This engraving is based on the original in the New York Historical Society.
