Sarah Moore Grimké (1792-1873)

Sarah Moore Grimké was an abolitionist and women's rights activist. She wrote Letters on the Equality of the Sexes and the Condition of Woman in 1838. She also collaborated with her sister Angelica on Slavery As It Is: Testimony of a Thousand Witnesses. She was originally from South Carolina where her father owned several hundred slaves.
