Lyman Judson Gage (1836-1927)
Lyman Judson Gage was the secretary of the treasury under President William McKinley and was a defender of the gold standard. He earned the respect of labor groups because of his work to save seven men convicted of murder and sentenced to death after the Haymarket Riot of 1886.
