Confederate Ironclad Ram Tennessee
At Mobile Bay, August 5, 1864, after displaying great daring and charisma and with her captain wounded, her rudder, engines, and guns were finally useless and she was forced to surrender. Her wounded Captain Buchanan reluctantly gave the order, while being operated on below deck.
